Inspired by the enveloping darkness found during the rare occurrence of an Eclipse, this painting delves into the beauty of Arabic calligraphy in a way that highlights the delicate structure of each Arabic letter. The letters here are known as Huroof-e-Muqatta’at (the disconnected or broken letters). At first glance, these letters appear familiar and known, but upon further study they are seemingly meaningless and impossible to interpret. Although many researchers, scholars and believers have tried to interpret the meaning of these arabic letters, they could not as the meaning behind that was hidden by Allah swt.
This painting was created using the letters from the Holy Quran, no meaning can be attributed to them except with faith and appreciation of the beauty of the arabic letter. Unless you see the delicate structure, patterns of each brush stroke which dedicates layers of Gold to its movement, you cannot find beauty in the text used to the reveal the benefits of the Quran to mankind.
This painting has no translateable meaning. It is a testimonial of the mysteries hidden within the passages of the Holy Quran. It carries a story that can only be read through faith in Allah swt and his last Prophet.
