Inspired by the tumultuous beauty of the land and sea, this painting rests on the spread of the ocean, fitting snugly into the curving bays, meeting the land like a fitted carpet of blue. The abstract perspective is partly a map, partly a relief- the land is wavy with mountains- but mainly a vision of how the sea covered world blends with the landscape of God's creations. Combined with the words of the Holy Quran, this painting is not a mere landscape, it represents a Sea of Faith.

Written within a gold halo, resembling a pearl, are the words:

فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

Fa Inna ma'al 'usri yusra 

 Verily, with hardship comes ease

- Surah Ash-Sharh (The Relief) [94:6]

Written on the bottom of this painting, is the dua of Hazrat Yunus;

لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ

la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inneekuntu mina aththalimeen

And he called out within the darknesses, “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
[Surat Al-Anbiya: 87]
